Depends on the gun and barrel length. You need to pattern your shotgun and try different chokes until you find the one that offers the best pattern and the distance you want to shoot. I have a Beretta Extrema II 12 ga 3 1/2" and it like full choke in th 28" VR barrel for OO Buck, while an 1100 12 Ga 2 3/4" gun I have wiht a 28" VR the OO Buck shot patterns best with a Modified choke.
my balls are huge, o.62", but you only get 3 of them in a 3 or 3 1/2" round. dixie tri ball, 1100fps. and 3 will stay in a 10" group at 40 yds pref with mod or imp cyl. and it hurts your shoulder!

I still haven't had a chance to shoot my tri-balls. This a-hole in Dade city still has my shotgun barrel. When I get it back, if ever, I am going to lambaste this guy on the internet
