That's a 99 and how the stock is. The camera and photo SUX.... I'd bet it looks much better FTF... My concern would be a cracked stock or forearm which happened to alot of the earlier built guns....

Not sure if I can see one or not, but alot of the older Savage, Brownings, Stevens, Mossbergs, Winchesters, Sears, etc.. had stock and forend issues... That's just the way it was....
The safety is a tang type on that hump area of the stock right behind the receiver making if look fat or long... It's a different one. I have a friend who has three of them that are mint in .308 Cal....
I know these are popular guns but I bought one the last year they made the model 99 in a 308 had to have the trigger done put a scope on it and could not hit a thing with it. tried mulktiple types of ammo in it, could never get any better than a 6 in group at 100 yds. ( sold it buddy for 300 bucks it was only a year old)
