get the jaws of life for your wallet and get a box of good self defense ammo and only shoot a few, to see where they hit and save the rest for S.D. I'd suggest getting the same brand the po-po use in your area.
someone did not use a resizing die on your ammo. Nacho is correct. I use fed. 145 grain hp for my python. they do not get up and walk away after being tagged. never had an extraction problem or loading problem with factory ammo. And that is what I used in my back-up piece for work.
another thing to look at is the casing rim area of the cylinder. that gets some build up also.
Is this a 357 Magnum revolver?
With 357 magnum revolvers people occasionally have sticky extraction when shooting 357 magnum rounds.
Some people shoot a lot of 38 special rounds in their 357 magnum revolvers and this leads to leading of the cylinder just in front of the brass. Since 357 magnum is 1/10" longer than 38 Special the front portion of magnum brass goes over the section that's been leaded the magnum brass will stick. To fix the problem just scrub out the leading in the cylinder.
