Rem 700 question

you having an Alzheimers moment or what? that chick musta really had some rack. you know this one if anyone does. long action mount goes for a long action cartrige like 270,30-06 etc, and the short action mount is for short action cartriges like 243,308's. I just put a long action (low) dnz mount on a mdl 700 270 cal with a 3x9x40mm scope and it was perfect. just close enough to the bbl to fit a scope cover on, but had to remove the iron sights, which I prefer to do anyway.
