to each his own. just remember the larger diameter/caliber bullet the wider the gun and harder to conceal. each caliber has its own folowing. I like the 45 acp alot but wouldn't want one in sub compact or for pocket carry. go with what you can shoot the best and conceals well.

not realy, the 40 cal is "zippy" cuz its moving around 1300 fps, whereas the 45 with a 230 grain bullet in a short bbl is app 750 fps and feels like a slower/harder push as opposed to a faster snap. a 45 in a heavy weight gun is easy to control, a hot 357 load in a 15oz snubbie revolver will feel like its gonna break your wrist.

Nacho, you can say that again, my 357 snubby will let you know you shot it, that is why I usually keep 38+P's in it...

ditto the preference thing. I owned a 27 and recoil was a little snappy but not bad. now this is just me but I like to own both a big and small version of the same caliber, so theres no confusion carrying different ammo. plus if you get the 40 you could always get a drop in barrel in 9mm, but alot of people shoot the 9mm better. try both and see.

Thats pretty cool, my dad has a Glock 19 and it pretty small, has anyone shot the 30 or 36? I heard from co worker that the 40 was too snappy for him he preferred the 45.

The 45 is going to to be worse then the 40!

His 45 is standard size 21 but the 40 is subcompact 27 not sure that the weight would make that much difference.. I will post whatever I get, thank again.

I picked up my Sp101 today. Love it. Its heavy enough to enjoy shooting and still light enough to carry on occasion. Its feels like something that will last many lifetimes. Thanks
