I love the senderos also. seems to be about the last of the remingtons their not trying to cheap out on. now just because youre getting , or wanting a sendero doesn't mean you have to go magnum crazy with it. a sendero in 25-06,270,30-06 or maybe 270wsm or 300 win mag should be plenty of stopping power with little recoil.
Do Gunbroker searches and find them from distributors NIB... It might take you 30-90 days, but I'll almost guarentee you'll save hundreds... I have a friend who might have a couple of .308's with heavy barrels and maybe a .25-06... Not sure if they are Rem 700's or not.... FL Gun Trader has a guy selling a nice Ruger 77 in .308 with heavy barrel and laminated stock that is awesome... Think he wants like $600.00 for it....
I used to have a Sendero in .270 back in the mid 90's that I shot a couple Northern Deer with while stationed at Fort Drum NY, AKA Southern Canada, and it was a great shooter, problem was it weighed 16 pounds with the scope. I might as well have been carrying an RPG. It would kill wood chucks up there all day long at 250 yards... Nice gun, but way way way to heavy for me.... Got rid of it in a trade for an O/U Browing Citori which I turned over for a bunch of cash in 2003...
What acliber do you want?

Offer him $500.00 and you would have a steal on this one...
who wouldn't? with some real nice glass on it.
Looks like it's been sold then.... I'll keep my eyes open for you on that one....
