if you can find one of the old ruger 44mag auto carbines and pry it from the owners fingers you'd be lucky. personaly I've never fired one but everyone I've spoke to who ever owned one loved it, very light and handy. not sure why the new ones never caught on , or their lever action. personaly ( and as usual my opinion will rile someone up ) if i'm going to carry a rifle I want it in a rifle caliber not a pistol caliber. but I will acknowledge how many game they have taken.

On the contrary. I have one that has killed more hogs than most people have ever seen. My daddy let me use it as my first rifle. Great for kids, wives, or smaller framed folks. Very light and short to maneuver around in the woods. Anything you shoot under 75 yards is gonna take a dirt nap. I'm taking my 9 y.o. nephew, and my wife's friends son hunting later this season and they are gonna be toting it
