I love my moss 500. One thing you need to know about swapping out barrels ( i found out the hard way ) if you have an 8 round tube, and 18" barrel, none of the "hunting barrels" will fit. you will need to also buy the 6 round magazine tube and spring. Otherwise the 24, 26, and 28" barrels wont be able to be attached to the gun. Mossberg sells the 6 shot tube for about 35 $ and spring for about 5 dollars. well worth it as you can configure the gun for various scenarios. At home I have the 18" barrel, 8 shot tube, M4 sholder/pistol grip stock and flashlight mounted. For sporting clays I swap out for the 6 shot tube, 28" barrel with the Accu-chokes, for HOGS, I keep the 6 shot tube, 24" rifled slug barrel, and red-dot scope.

I think the guy still has the gun for sale. He says it's 5 +1 cap, so is that the same as the 6 round mag? I'll have to make him an offer and see what happens!

Tube feed. It should hold 6 2-3/4 rounds in the tube and one in the chamber w/o the plug.

That's what I'm thinking. Plus he's in Ohio so there's shipping to consider. Will see what he has to say.
