Just picked up a little marlin 22 carbine ........opinons
semi, lever, bolt, mdl # year, pics? my first gun (at 18 y/o) was a glenfield 22 tube fed semi that I paid like 60$ for that came with a #500 brick of ammo. I believe it was really made by marlin and I'd say it was a pos but it got the job done if you kept it clean.

I was gonna ask the same questions! Your Marlin/Glenfield is worth about $60 today also. Agree with your assessment of the Marlin/Glenfield. Was your gun an early model 60? Likely so. Junk. Most of the Marlin rimfire guns, old and new really make great ATV, Jeep, Tractor and off road vehicle guns, so when they fall off, get run over, or lost you haven't really lost anything.
I've got a Marlin 882SS bolt action in 22WMR that I LOVE. Wal Mart had it mis marked years back. One of my better gun purchases ever. I put a no frills 3x9 Bushnell on it and it will flat out strike matches.

And you aren't afraid of losing it off the back of your 4 wheeler either....
