I just bought a .380

If I could carry my 1911... I would .. BUT I am a smaller guy. The PPK is just right for me. Now if I am hunting... the 1911 is open carry. 🙂

You can conceal carry a 1911 just fine. Skinny guys can conceal better than thick guys because you don't have flab pushing it out. A good holster and a right shirt you would never know it's there. I've seen 120# women carry 1911's

I have my great grandfathers ccw permit from ny state issed in 1957. he has listed his colt 1878 in .45 lc, and a colt woodsman .22, neither of whichh are compact. He was not a big man.
