How far are you willing to drive? There is a very good gunsmith in Mount Dora, about 2 hours south.

Depending on where in Jax you're leaving from, Mt. Dora is only about 2 hours from downtown Jax. I can be in Jax in about 4 hours from here in Sarasota. Still, 2 hours to find a good gunsmith seems a bit too much.
