keeping yourself occupied when down for rehab is very important. Good deal getting the gun you have been wanting!

new ser # info from 336 club says it's a 1973. either way 30-30 or 35 at 0-50 yds dead is dead. in this heavy brush palmetto's or swamp it's hard to see past rock chuckin distance anyway.

My dad bought one from a guy who worked for him back in 1978 or so, I think it was some anniversary model - gold trigger, checkered wood, etc. He let me to use it when we went out to Texas a few times (I was in my teens), and I never got a shot at anything but some coyotes at about 100yards with a 20mph crosswind in 30 degree weather. I missed! He later gave it to me after I got married. A few years later, while I was still in the USAF, time were tight and I had to pawn it to buy diapers and food, knowing I could get it back on payday. About a week later, "needs of the USAF" came into play, and I got sent to a short-notice training class to learn some new test equipment Lockheed had developed for Special Ops C-130s. Was gone 40 days, and had forgot all about that rifle in the pawn shop. After I'd been back for a few days, I found the pawn slip, but by the time I got to the shop it was done gone. I have lamented that mistake for many years.
