blueing a barrel.

took me 5 minutes to strip it.. and about an hour to reblue it.. you have to blue then rinse then blue then rinse.. so it takes time and PATIENCE.. and rubbber gloves!!

I did it once in a brown finish on a hawken b/p kit gun. did you have to bake the finish on in the oven? I did, but that was a long time ago.

nope just whipe it on.. is a chemical reaction.. blueing is controlled rusting.

The brown is a little harder to do just because of the heat required. I never had to bake blue? Ps don't spill it on the counter top will leave a mark. I redo my guns because I use them on the river and in wet conditions allot.

yea baked blue i never heard of.. but im gonna re do alot of my guns now.. since i got the hang of it.
