Barrel threading.

i'm a "hobby" machinist, i learned from a machinist the basics and over the years as a motorcycle tech i've learned more and more
within the last few years i've done a bunch of gun related machining projects and actually just sold my mill/lathe setup and plan on purchasing something new and bigger once we purchase a house later this year.

i'll recommend letting a pro do the barrel threading, it gets tricky and you'll need a properly setup lathe to do it. the lathe/tooling will cost you a small fortune

Yeah your right. I've been reading some this morning and it looks like its something I don't want to tackle. Thanks for your input!

So you don't think that $10 tap and die set I got from Harbor Freight would work? 😀

I think with time and practice you could do it but for gods sake don't make your first try on a good gun. find some pos throw away to learn on.
