Me and some friends went out yesterday to dial in our rifles.

This was a 4" circle at 100 yards shooting 168 grain Remington.

This was an 8" circle at 200 yards shooting 168 grain Georgia Arms match loads.

It was a .308 with a crappy NCStar scope and I just guess not everyone can be an expert shot like you Ray!
That's a 4 inch target so 5 bullets within an inch of each other at 100 yards and the 8 inch target got 5 bullets within 2 inches of each other at 200 yards.
I am very happy with my rifle AND my shooting, thank you very much!

Nice shooting. Have you played with any other ammo? I shoot the Sierra BTHP that has been tweeked just alittle, but have been told the factory Sierra shoots almost as good.

remember it's the first time he shot the gun. familiarality with the gun should improve accuracy, but that gun is capable of much better. ditto on trying diff ammo. my 1" groups with a chinese knockoff scope were smaller than the ones with a big money leupold vxl, just a bad range day of shooting on my part, it happens. especialy when you don't practice too often, hot and cold spells. when I start shooting like crap switching to a 22lr helps me get back in good form. don't sweat it, thats plenty good enough for hunting at normal ranges. I would expect a few nickel sized groups at 100 yds with that gun now and then.
