.44 mag question.

I have a 44 mag. barrel for my T/C. I have had a model 29 SW with 8 3/8. loved it. I use Hornady 240 grain xtp. 1360 muzzle velocity. @ 50 yards 1231 fps. haven't killed anything but pumpkins and gallon water jugs with the T/C. with the mod. 29 i have shot hogs and deer. they never moved after the shot but shot placement is crucial. bad shot ruins a lot of pork tenderloin.
