Deer like that are my biggest problem with all these trophy clubs that have rules saying they have to be 8 pts or better. That deer is a trophy,just as good of a deer as one with 8 or 10 points. It may never get any more points than what it has now.

You are right on the money....in a lot of clubs you would have to let this deer walk and believe me, this is a trophy deer, rack, neck, body much more impressive than some of the "trophy" deer that get shot every year....I understand the intent....but if it were me, guaranteed I shoot this deer and take my chances that whoever makes the rules in the club also has some common sense. Also, like the guy who shot this one, sometimes you only have a second or two and can't really count the points very well, but when you see a deer as big as this...I wish you guys could see this deer because he is much bigger than he looks in these photos.
