I was taught to do it from the back. cut a slit across center of back insert 2 fingers forward and 2 backward and just pull. Gpa said it was like taking its shirt and pants off. then opo the head off and drop the guts ready to cook

I do it same way, with a little twist. I take a machete and chop their heads, feet, and tails off first. Then just pull the skin apart and you can just pull it right off the ends of the legs
