Well, after church this morning, my littlest boy (5) wanted to go to the woods real bad so I decided to try out a new .36 squirrel rifle I got a couple months back.
We didn't see but 2. That rifle is a TACK DRIVER!!! I was tickled, that's for sure!

I used to take my son out to do the same thing, only with a .22. No greater satisfaction when he says" there's one dad". enjoy it because now mine is 42 years old. they grow up fast.
Jeff, I need a few more for a stew! LOL These were young ones though so they should be tender. Just waiting patiently for my honey hole areas to open then it's game on!
We should try to get together in later January for a small game trip with the kids. I have tried to make it a tradition to always go when a certain WMA small game season opens. Hogs are legal too. Usually hunt in the mornings, then go back to the camp and build a big fire, let the kids play, and tell lies..
