one press for rifle and pistol will handle all pistol and almost all rifle unless some extremely large/long caliber like 50 bmg, a seperate one is needed for shotgun. a tourette/multi stage I would use for shotgun, after I got some experience. you realy gotta be carefull and watch all 5 steps going on with each pull of the lever ( 5 diff things to pay attention to all at once!) and a mistake is easy to make and could be non tragic, but a pain in the azz like dumping 150 or so # 8 shot on the floor, or something alot worse ( catastrophic failure). when you are re-loading (PAY ATTENTION) that means no beer drinking or watching the ball game or having your wife nagging your azz ( a surefire way to make a mistake)

Understood on safety and attention to detail! I think I can manage that 🙂
I have a nice quiet shop the lady does not come into, not sure why, but it could
be all the Hooters, Winghouse and tilted Kilt Girlly calendars I have hanging up in my shop.

Naw that can't be the reason.....

LOL

keep those eyes front cowboy.I can't speak for everyone who re-loads but most of the ones I know do it to get the absolute top accuracy from the gun they are shooting, while others just want alot of something that will go bang and don't realy care about accuracy. my brother used to reload for pistol and never, ever cleaned brass or primer pockets, cut brass back to length limits ( as they will stretch out and get longer over time ) weighed each bullet and brass individualy and only used the ones that weighed exactly the same, then re-weigh the completed round and only use the ones that weigh the same, for maximum accuracy and consistancy. you can take it as far or as little as you want to go ( just be safe and make sure you did put powder in the brass, but only once and you should be ok.) being totaly anal retentive and ocd are good things when it comes to re-loading.plus the money saved is a big plus, but not my main motive. yes reloading supply costs are skyrocketing and storebought bullets are better than ever, but they make 1- 308 round that will work in every 308 gun ever made. a reloader is making the best bullet to work in his/ and only his gun.
