So I've heard some talk that with the new Deer Management Plan that this is a possiblity. At least it would seem so in several areas. If you have not done so pick up a new hunting regs book and you will find a pretty good article on the future of deer hunting in Fl. There will be Micro Managed Areas within the now 4 Zones. Just what that means for sure is yet to unfold.
Not saying that a 3-Point Rule is coming for sure, but what do you all think about it?
Several years ago (like 2003-2004) where my brother lives in Pennsylvania they went to a rule like this. First few years everyone was pitching up a fit. You are allowed 1 buck per year in that state. This past year my brother shot the 5th legal buck he saw on opening morning. He was against it at first, now doesn't mind it at all and says he sees way more bucks and better ones too. They do allow you to take several doe a year.
I wouldn't mind it IF they make the law the same for both Private & Public Land.
Law sucks,Fl is fine the way it is.
I would love to see it. However, allowing a kid under 16 a little more lenient rule.

Enough rules and law. We need to get back to the real meaning of hunting and not the business and money making part of it. I bet the first hunters on this earth didnt care about the size of the horns. Its not about the horns, it is about the memories and being able to eat. I am not saying go out and shoot all the young bucks you see, but it doesnt hurt to shoot a couple.
My problem with the law is that it would effect children,I could really care less about shooting spikes, except the 3 yr old cow horn I killed last season would now be an illegal deer with this new law. Why is it anyones business what deer I decide to kill on my private land.
