Back off topic..LOL!! I was with a friend in Indiana last year and got checked.....he waited until we wwre done hunting the field ( we were rabbit hunting) and then politiely checked us. Now, I am a Florida Cracker used to getting harassed my whole life by our "officers" so I was dreading walking over to the trucks but I'll be danged if he wasn't a very nice guy.. He talked with us for a while before he ever asked for our info and even then it seemed as if it was just an aside, he knew we were legal and felt bad for even bothering us...although he didn't since he waited a while fopr us to finish our hunt....

I wish our guys here would cross train with them dang yankees......never thought I'd admit they were better than us at something....

Back off topic, LOL that's funny.

Anyway years ago I shot a nice gobbler opening morning of PA's Spring Gobbler season. It had been pouring all morning and to locate and call one in, well I was proud. I walk out of the woods and get into my truck, which was parked out of sight of the dirt road (which I had permission to do). Driving down the road I saw a Pa Game Commission Officer setting in his truck. Feeling good about myself I stopped and asked him if he would like to check out my bird I had just got.

He kinda sneered at me and asked me where I had shot it and about what time. I told him. He then asked if "his guys" had checked me in the woods. Told him no I hadn't seen anyone. He then accused me of sneeking out of the woods to get past his guys so I wouldn't get checked (now remember I stopped freely to let him see my bird, as we were not required to do so). I told him I didn't sneek past anyone. He then proceeded to to a complete check over of me, my gun, my truck anything he could try to find to be able to find fault with me and give me a ticket, which he found none.

By this time his guys were back out of the woods and he was snarling at them for not finding me. Eventually he had to let me go. As I left I told him "I stopped here out of my own freewill just to let you see the bird I had got. I will never stop like that for the Game Commission again."

I was checked by a FWC Officer entering Tiger Bay one morning in the dark. He checked my licenses and then took a light and looked all through my truck. I told him he would never find me doing anything wrong and he just said with a gruff voice "I'll check you anytime I want". That was in like 2001. Since then I have been checked by several FWC at Tiger Bay and other places. Never had a problem and was always treated with respect, as I did them.

as long as were off topic, a little power goes to some peoples heads. my biggest problems are with receptionists at Dr's offices that think/act like they are surgeons. just recently at my Dr's office after being hit from behind at a red light, (2nd time in 2 years) I saw the doc, he ordered me some pain killers and anti inflamatories and gave me a steroid injection into the knee and told me to see the receptionist on the way out. I get to the desk and she hands me a packet of accident insurance forms at least 10 pages front and back that want to know among other things every doctor you have seen in the past 10 years, why seen, what was done etc. I hold up both hands, show her my wrist/hand splints and explain I can barely sign my name and even if I knew all these answers it would take hours to complete, my wife writes for me and she is not here now. her response was, then you will not get your prescriptions until you return the completed forms. so politely I say "you are going to take it upon yourself to withold medicine prescribed by my doctor from me after I've been a pt here for almost 10 years?" she replies "they are not important meds", I was floored and asked "oh really, and what school did you study pharmacology at?, I've been an RN for 10 years and was a pharmacy tech for 14 before that and I have NEVER witheld meds from any pt and have even gone to pharmacies and paid for my pt's meds out of my own pocket, and I would never presume to claim that I had any real knowledge of pharmacology, so where do you get off?"I'll end the rant here, you get the idea. you may procede back to topic now if you can remember what it was.

This thread has crossed into new dimensions of off-topicness. Just pointing that out, nothing to contribute..
