today was first time I stepped foot on this place. :eek what a surprise this place is some awesome looking woods and deer and hog sign everywere. Got set up on a partially dried up flag pond with a line of rubs half way around it with deer tracks every were. back side of pond has been freshly plowed by the pigs. It was really hard to decide were to put my stand due to every were I went there was fresh rubs and scrapes and one had just been pissed in. They closed the road going back to the dam were I wanted to go, but don't seem to matter were you go. This place only has a total of 30 days of deer hunting all season and I think its around 250 permits. Im on a guest permit for phase 1 gen gun and have permit for phase 2. total of 9 straight days

heres my spot. off 310 headed back to the barge canel. at the check station only 4 deer taken today and all were in the morning. 8 hogs today also. I only see a doe and a spike after dark
Did you see any turkeys? I've heard that place is loaded with them.
