I have carted deer 2 miles pain in the azz but you can do it. Most wma I hunt you cant drive in to get your game even if there is a road. You need a game cart.

One thing I did with my game cart is extend the handle longer. I had some pieces of EMT and bent them, and put on each side to make the handle about 15" longer. Eliminated the need to stoop over when carrying something out. I also replaced all the pins with bolts and nuts. It stays put together and I don't break it down. I also carry a hitch carrier on my truck. If you can get any slope or dip down in the road, you can back your truck down to it and it puts the hitch carrier very low to the ground and makes loading one easier. I ratchet strap the cart to my hitch carrier and python lock it, if I decide to carry that vs my sled. Just depends on where I am hunting

I definitely need a sled. I don't think a cart will work. There are places where the water is so deep it comes up to my knees. I'm thinking the wheels would just get bogged down.
