just to offer an option. often if I'm in a tree or ground blind I might take off the vest and put it around the trunk of the tree, a few feet above me, so it will not be moving, be easily seen and will let my hunting buddies or other hunters know I am there without spooking ANY game in any way, even during turkey season.
i do the same thing-i am on private land. just personal safety on the ground. not too many deer 20-30 off the ground. :rolleyes
