Hey guys I'm new to the forum and wanted to pick your brains a bit. This will be my first year on a lease in FL and was curious if you guys new anything about the hunting around jasper FL. I am from WA and since I've been down here I have heard that the deer go nocternal pretty quick after the opener. So what do you guys think about Dec and Jan hunting up that way? Any help would be great as I try to plans my trips up. Thanks.

Jasper has some of that "old Florida" feel to it. It is one of those places that has a bunch of farm land and a lot of old farm houses on it. I really think It is one of the prettiest places in the state. You should have a rut there somewhere around muzzleloader season or the first week of November.
There are some very big deer killed up that way.
Yes deer will get spooky when the pressure starts and guns start getting fired. That is the reason I became an avid bow hunter. That is the reason I only hunt travel areas instead of food sources
Good Luck this season

I've done really well in Okaloosa county if Jan. The bucks are not as big as those stightly to the east, but the numbers make up for the slightly smaller size.
