Anybody out there going to try a mid day sit on this Full Moon? I am going to give it a try on Thursday, if nothing else I found a new spot that needs a stand, maybe I will chum it up with some of the sugar beet you guys are experimenting with so its ready by Saturday afternoon when I get back.
Im a fan of "hunt when you can".
I don't rely on moon phase so much when planning hunts. Never bought into it. And I definitely don't believe in the theory of "deer feed all night on a full moon". But I swear by moon position. Having said that, the few days before a full moon, there is nothing to prevent me from being in my stand by 1-2PM for the afternoon sit. I find the game moves very early (like within the first 30 min of daylight), and around mid afternoon, then again right at dark. Our sightings this past weekend went along with that. I saw deer feeding driving to the woods, saw game very early and saw the deer I shot at 2:30.
The moon under time for Thur is 1:35. I would definitely be in my stand before that. Now that I have comfy stands I can do these 6-8 hour sits no problem

Good luck on that. curious how the sugar beet stuff will do.
We talking 'bout the crushed stuff powder?
I put some out last Sunday and it had gone untouched thru this last weekend.
Guess it will take longer for them to find it...good news is the bears didn't
And yea...with Cr0ck, hunt when I can. But still pay attention to solunars and stuff.
