Just jokin' there Wizfisher. I've shot a few small deer (never any spotted though) on antlerless hunts. I usually don't shoot small deer or piggy sow's when I can get a look at them. I always check tracks pretty good before puting dogs on them when hog hunting to make sure there's no pigs with them.I've got friends and family who will not shoot does at all.

where it is legal to, there is nothing wrong with takeing does. I can take 10 up at my lease , but it needs to be done anyways. my buck to doe ratio is alittle out of wack. the problem with being able to harvest does is once and awhile you will get a button buck( counts as legal doe in ga.) don't like to do it and don't purposely do it. but is has happen to me.

That's kinda what I was getting at, I'll shoot every legal doe deer that come my way.My club I'm in there is absolutely NO doe killing. Not in archery or doe week or anytime. Not even for kids,I hate that. You'll see doe deer standing in the middle of the roads the last day of the season.Sometimes I ride thru it and count over 50 in an afternoon, they need thinned out. But they won't let us.

thtat bites, if they are trying to practice some sort of QDM they have to take out some does. your ratio has to be right. with so many does the bucks don't have to travel as much. all they have to do is turn around and they are inside a doe already. I love taking does. an old matriarch doe can be just as hard to hunt as a buck.
