Well went to the woods and got the feeders going and the cameras up. Built some platforms about 4' tall and 5'x5' to set my ground blinds on. They worked good and it is like your in a tower blind. Will try and get some pics next time I go.

I found a platform like that in my old lease. It was in a good spot, but the pines were getting too tall for it to be in an effective spot
I bet its nice to be off the ground and not worry about whats in your blind before daylight

Thats the deal the pines are not big enough for a ladder stand and the groung cover is about 3' tall so I figured the platform would do the trick. Yah and who knows what mite want to come and stick there nose into the blind at o dark thity. That will get your blood pumping. One of the guys had a bear do that one morning.

That's how all my dad's blinds are, just slightly off the ground so you don't shoot on the level and to discourage the animals of using it as a home too.

i had set up a blind came back and a bear destroyed it. Lucky noone was in it!
