None of you pro's ever put a salt block out?

Not a pro either, just try to go with what seems to work in our area.....good plots, limed and fertilized, and mineral holes....and its probably helped improve the health of the overall herd, the size of the bucks and racks. Just seems to keep more deer and healthier deer in the area....IMHO

I used a salt lick one time, a bear picked it up with both hands, broke it over head his and proceeded to eat it.

Sent from my killphone.

That gave me a case of the giggles for close to 10minutes.

LOL...I have learned this year a bear will eat ANYTHING a deer will eat....including ryegrass.

Update on this.....

I poured this jug of Deer Cane out on the day after Thanksgiving. I went in there yesterday to pull my game cam and walked over to check where I had poured it. It was the stump of an old rotten pine tree. I stood there few seconds scratching my head trying to remember exactly where the stump was. The reason I didn't immediately see it is because the stump is gone! In 2 weeks time they had obliterated what was left of the stump and have it torn down all the way to the roots. Didn't have my camera facing it to see what it is. It's probably mostly hogs, but I had more deer pics than I've had in the last month so it could be either..
Will be buying more of it
