ALfalfa hay for deer?

I do think they eat what they can. Two years ago I was hunting in South Carolina and when they started harvesting the peanuts it was game over no more deer in the woods. They was in the field eating peanuts. What do y'all think about Alfalfa cubes? I do know they stay greener longer than the bails and it smell great. I think it cost more than corn but if no bears its worth it.

I am from Missouri and we had alfalfa fields and the deer were fat and sassy. They loved it
