HERE HERE!!!!
I will admit, when I turned 18 and registered to vote I registered as a Democrat. Politics have always interested me and my dad and I had some long talks about it. He was a registered democrat till he died. However he always taught me to vote for the best person for the job, not necessarily along party lines. Ironically, he hated liberals with a passion and almost every election he voted Republican. He told me that the days of the Southern Democrat were gone when slick willie got in the WH. Now it seems there is no such thing as a Democrat anymore. They are ALL far to the left and crazy liberals. I changed my affiliation to Rep soon after my first voting experience and never looked back
Now days it's mostly having to choose the one that's lesser of two evils...
Most of the liberal dems have never had to serve in the military so they have no concept of the struggles it requires to maintain the right to have a 2 party system. If it ain't free, no hassle, no labor involved, it must be right. BS and that is not a college degree conotation.
Unfortunately both sides have changed and do change. For a while it was the far left that controlled the Dem Party and now it is the far right that controls the Rep Party. Most Americans actually fall somewhere in the middle.
Personally I see things in both parties that I like and dislike. I'm registered as a Rep but the older I get the more Independant I become. I always vote for whom I feel is the best persona for the job, no matter what party they belong to.
