That's vertigo for ya. Does it also make your wife or the neighbor look like a goat? I didn't think so. People are people, and there is no possible way to mistake a person for a yote, even if the GW was in a yote costume. I don't care if it's at 100 or 500 yards. I've been behind NV at 500 yds, and even with the gen 1 stuff out on the market, you can tell the difference between a human and a dog. And most of the stuff out on the market now is Gen 2, 3, or 4. I'm not for convicting somebody without evidence or cause, but you can't blame stupidity, when he had to see something through the scope to shoot at it, which means he woulda been able to tell the diff between a yote and a GW. And if he wasn't sure, he never should have taken the shot. That's the first thing that they teach you with gun safety.
