I think they've come back pretty well. The red tide we had a couple years ago hit them a bit, but they are always around down where my dad lives. The gill net ban has been good for the mullet and most of the game species as well, since a lot of snook, reds and trout were killed as bycatch in the nets. The overall inshore fish population is as good as it's been in years.
