hey dony i would be interested as long as work n $ hold out . you thinking bow or muzzle loader /rifle i think bow ofcourse would be the cheaper kentucky is closest n has some good outfitters.
dony, check out bighornoutdoors.com there are some guys on there that may get you a spot, they do a lot of hunt trades and stuff like that. there are some decent places in ohio to hunt. i have some friends that have been up to ohio several times and taken some nice deer off of public land. they have done shotgun trips and archery trips. like goodoyster says, check out some of the indiana farms, there are alot of farmers that want the deer gone. lamehawk may know some hoosiers like that, and also vonnick would probably be down for a trip to indiana. or just hitch a ride with scott...
I can put you on public land bucks in Illinois and maybe get you access to a 500 acre farm overloaded with deer and turkeys. I have hunted Illinois the past 21 years taking many deer on the National Wildlife Refuge along with state and federal lands as there are 100's of thousands of acres open to the public.
I have a good friend in Kentucky that has 2000 acres he outfits on and his rates are very reasonable, plus he has some mean old nasty hogs roaming around as well for a bonus.
Equally I can make some calls and see if some folks I know of would be willing to allow deer hunters on thier farm, most likely would have to be archery though as they all gun hunt.
I do know guys that would trade out hunts for alligators and maybe hogs in Indiana and Illinois.
