Hello--I am very new to hunting, but always looking for someone to go out and help me get "better" at this lifestyle....I have been out about half a dozen times, have my own equipment, but not been lucky enough to bring home dinner. If you are "experienced" (versus having two individuals out in the woods with little to no knowledge) I would welcome the opportunity on a weekend or specific Fridays to get out of the house and take on the woods!
I live in Hudson, FL (about 45 North of Tampa), but like you, willing to travel as needed to gain experience and get out and have some fun.
SO--if you are looking for a rookie in this area...I am your person!

I'm no expert, especially when it comes to Florida hunting, and my trips to green swamp haven't yielded anything for me. My hunting buddies tend to end up doing the shooting when I go in the woods with other people. I've seen game, couple bucks, couple hogs, lots of does, but didn't have a good enough shot for my liking. I'd rather go home empty handed than blood trail an animal for miles. I have been hunting since I was a lil' kid, and I understand the process and what to look for. This was my first season hunting here in Florida, I grew up hunting in SE Indiana, where the deer are bigger than the average yearling German Shepherd. 😆
I live in Tampa, and I often have a hard time finding someone to go with. I have a handheld GPS, so that makes me ballsy in the woods sometimes, and I hesitate to trek 5+ miles back into public land without someone with me or knowing about where I'm at. Never know, could step in some hog rooting and bust your ankle, snakebites, who knows. It's always nice to find other people who hunt around here anyways....I can't find nothing but yuppie, bleeding heart, spoiled, left-wing morons around this school. :gangsta :hang
I've been wanting to go check out Myakka and head north and check out some of the WMAs up there too, I would be more than happy to car pool and hunt together when opportunity arises. Spring semester just started here at USF, and I'm getting into some of the tougher classes, but I still should be able to get out on Mondays, Thursdays, and Friday afternoons and Sat, Sun, all damn day.
