I'll guarantee you the trigger speed is >2 seconds. Like I said, if on public land, better have it facing right down a trail so they are walking up to it. For $50, its worth it. They also sell a locking bracket for $17 at Dick'ssporting goods. I have one on mine

Also, word of advice....The battery meter has 4 bars to show level of power left. When it gets down to 2 bars, replace the batteries. It will take very pics after it gets down to that point
I bought a 2 pack of the Ir2 Cameras last year to put on my corn piles in Ohio on public land, I managed to screw up setting them up only got one pic of a doe at night but one of the cameras would not accept a memory card so I call the factory and sent the one back and they sent me back a 2 pack of IR4's so far all I have got is my lab eating the cat food. they have good customer service.
