Was in the local Army/Navy surplus store today (my new favorite place, btw), and found a bin full of Molle shoulder straps
I picked up this set for 10 bucks.. I will admit I am not military, and probably (actually more than likely) don't have them installed correctly. I threw them on the only way I could figure out, and they seem to work. I walked around the yard with my stand on my back, and can honestly tell you they make my stand feel much lighter. I need to take them off and put them on the next rung down, instead of the top. Also need to take the old original straps off
This is my back up stand. I will be going back up there buying a set for my main climber as well

I bought a set-up like that and it had a separate padded waistbelt on ebay about 4or5 years ago. They took military harness from metal frame packs and repositioned the straps for climber stands. They were $35.00. And make you're 21LB climber feel like half the weight and no more sore shoulders.

Yeah. Funny I live like 3 minutes from there. I have literally never been in there before till about a month ago. Now I can't stay out of the place

I went in there the other day and saw those straps. My climber already has straps like that so I passed on them. I did see a regular plain jane bug suit for $18. It wasn't a leafy suit, but I'm sure it would do the job. I may go back and get one of them.
