ok thanks to Davedirt my son has a youth shotgun to use for the season,took him to the range saturday and he is ready. My question is he has no Camo gear, What should he wear? Day time hunting we are gonna make a blind and dig in. Three days in the woods with my son and guns should be great.
Being in a bind I would not worry to much on the clothes just enjoy the time.But if you do want stuff check out goodwill I have found several camo items there.
Just be sure he is conformable, if it's cold keep him warm. If you are going to be in a blind wear something dark and try to limit his movement inside. I try to keep all the window closed so I have the black back ground opening only the front with the mess up as high as I can. They say you can shoot threw it but last year I did and missed my deer. Also remember his orange and if hunting public land I tie some orange ribbon on top of my blind, that way maybe someone will see it and not shoot. Good luck.
thanks we have orange vests and I will get some safety tape for the blind. it will be wed and thur so shouldnt be to many hunters there.
