Rimfire calibers that big are not unheard of. One of the early Henry repeating rifles was a .44 rimfire, I believe, and there were also some .41 calibers.

If they do develop modern rimfire rounds that big again, it won't take long for the state to put limits on what rimfire caliber sizes are legal for small game.

that woudl really suck because you cant reload them.. you would be forced to buy rounds.. not a good idea.
