They take 6-C batteries. :tung
But mine has been in the woods since the beginning of October and the batteries are still 75%
I'm sure the cold and # of times the flash gets used have a lot to do with it. I need something with a faster trigger time on it. I'm getting a lot of empty framed pics (animals moving by the camera too fast). and pic quality is poor at sunset, in direct sunlight I'm lucky to get an outline and can't realy tell what the animal is only theres something there. gotta get a 2nd cam or move it to a shadier spot.
Flash cams are gonna be a thing of history before long. Now that I've used IR, I would NEVER go back to a flash cam
Also if your cam is facing E or W your picture quality will go to crap.You will get a ton of white out pics. N or S facing are your best bet
it's facing south and shows the feeder and trails just the way I want but from like 3:30 -4pm the sun pokes thru the canopy in winter only and shines right in the camera, once leaves fill out again it won't be a problem.
you need get taller squirrels walking past your cam man.. lol
