Ok im thinking about getting one for my big feeder so i dont have to change the battery and only lower it down to fill it.
Heres my first question:
How do they hook up? DO you just put the gator clips on the battery from the motor and then also put the gator clips from the panel on the battery also? like 4 clips on the battery?
Or do you have to have a feeder motor setup for solar panel with a plug? I saw the wild game ones on their site and they only have gator clips.
Thats my first question.
Second question is: If its just gator clips then i can use any solar charger right? moultrie or whatever?
Third Question: has anyone ever seen a "wildgame solar panel" in any stores?
-Thanks.. Just figured on the way up id stop somewhere and pick some up.
Dude get one like this. I know they sell them at Dick's for like $20

Mount it to a piece of scrap wood. Screw a little eye bolt in each side of the scrap wood. That way you can attach a bungee cord and strap it to the side of your feeder, and position it so you can get the most afternoon sunshine.. There should be a drain hole in the bottom of your feeder housing. You can run the cord thru that and attach to battery.
When the old school game cams used to run on spring tops, this is the way I rolled.I could get several months out of a charge
ill get it from dickssportinggoods on the way up next week.. So i just hook it to the battery.. thats it? no inbetween module or nothing?
Nope. Just make sure you get the 6v, not the 12v. Just hooks directly.
Now the one I have on my tripod is made for the American Hunter feeder. It actually has a little plug on the end that plugs into the side of the feeder, and is made to fit in a groove on that particular feeder. The one I mentioned is just universal
dam i gotta make sure since im probably not using tripids that when its raised that its facing the sun or the best sun angle.
