Good read but not real conclusive until you shoot your own gun with different loads mine does very good to 60 yards with 000/00 buck. And with the small pellets the pattern is much to wide for me past 45 yards to open and may get into the gut.

The one with 130 yard 'luck" shot was not the rule for sure!

i can shoot my wingmaster ALL day, i love it. my wife has a rem 1100 set up for trap shooting, she does well with it, but she can shoot the 12 guage. if you buy the right gun you dont need to drop to a 20 guage. like some people said, you can really reach out now with a 12 guage slug with the new technology. get a limbsaver and a 12 guage 870 slug gun. i also have a 20 guage 870 and prefer to shoot the 12, the 20 doesnt get much play time from me or anyone else.

when i shoot trap i prefer to 'warm up' with my wingmaster a couple rounds then go to my grampas old .410. i shoot almost as good with that as i do a 12 guage. i love using that thing, especially when everyone else at the line is shooting 12's or 20's and im hangin right there with them, i dont bird hunt with it though cause its a single shot
