Makes since m12. When I shot the hog he ran back in the thick and I heard him drop and flail around then squeal then I heard him get up and walk off. My buddy was huntin about 40 yards away and he shot at him too with buck shot. When we got down not a drop of blood. Thought I must of missed him but now I realize I hit him but its gonna take somethin with a little more penetration to get them down. Definitely gonna go with the slugs next hunt.
I have a Remington 870 Super Mag wearing a red dot scope that does double duty for hogs during small game and turkey in the spring. During small game I use a rifled choke tube with Remington buckhammer slugs and I change the choke tube to an xfull choke for turkey.
With the rifled choke tube and the red dot I can wipe out the inner diamond of a rifle sight-in target at 50 yds.
