OK, I have 30-30 that I have to get some work done on. Than I'm going to be looking to get a scope for it. It's a wnchester mod. 94 lever action. I have the scope mounts on it. And need to here some pros and cons on the different type scopes that are out there.

This may be a stupid ? but what does FOV stand for?
Field of View width of the area seen in the scope at the distance listed. If the FOV is 40 feet @ 100 yards, with a target in the middle, you'll see 20 feet to the right and 20 feet to the left.
