OK, I have 30-30 that I have to get some work done on. Than I'm going to be looking to get a scope for it. It's a wnchester mod. 94 lever action. I have the scope mounts on it. And need to here some pros and cons on the different type scopes that are out there.

if it were me , i wouldn't put a scope on it. simple fact that it is an offset mount. i have had a scope on a mod.94 and it was more trouble than it was worth.

is the gun a top eject, or a side eject? I remember some of the older 30-30's that were top eject that had the offset scope were a PIA to zero in

It's a top eject.
