So Cr0ck laughed at me the other day when he saw my silly locking mechanism for my game camera. It was kind of chincy since the housing is plastic and anyone could snatch it off the tree.
I cut the hole with an angle grinder
I took an ole ammo can and made one that I can actually lock up. I wil do another one for the camera up at my lease, since we have bears up there and they like to slap cameras off the trees 👿

Slapped some paint on it and put some Styrofoam in it to keep it from bouncing around
One thing I am going to redo- I want to drill a hole on each side and run a python cable lock thru it. That will eliminate the need for bungee cords and the need for a lock on the bottom, as you can cinch them down really tight.
I also made a quick weather shield to go over the top

Only way it can get stolen now is with a set of bolt cutters or a hack saw

Like my daddy always said, it will only stop an honest thief

Oh and make sure you drill some holes in the bottom in case water gets in there.
