Scott look into some of that tubbs final finish. they come 40-50 rnds to a box, $40 with 5 each in a different grit abrasive that is supposed to break in a gun and polish the bbl alot faster and improve accuracy/ reduce copper build up and make general bbl cleaning easier, esp if gun has never been fired. when I get my gun back and am able I'm gonna have to sight in a new batch of slugs. not the dixie ones I want but the hornady 300 gr sst's alot lighter and faster, but should definately get the job done on deer and hogs with alot less recoil. not gonna knock em until I try em, besides their allready paid for and gathering dust.put a hammer spur on the left side of the hammer and you may finaly have a gun for a lefty.
Dont be discouraged if you have problems off the bench sighting it in. Those Handi Rifles are great guns but theyre notorious for being a PITA to shoot off a bench due to the two piece stock. All in all great gun chambered for a perfect cartridge all for a wallet friendly price. Go forth and do gratuitous bodily harm to Bambi and his little woodland friends.
nacho, has a hammer spur on it. actually came with the gun. H&Rs seem to all come with a heavy barrel (heavier than normal). In the box below my rifle is another in 7mm-08 but blued with wood stock. that is for a customer. Should be fun to shoot. kinda sporty. lol
