I need advice on feeders. I just got permission to put one on the property I have access to. The problem is I cant get up there as much as I would like. How long will say 50lbs off corn last if I set it to go off once a day? Or how should the setting be?

I feel your pain...about not being able to get to your property often. I don't have any electric feeders though so I can't help you there.

10sec twice a day 50lbs last 7-8 days The last two days doesn't throw as much corn because there isn't as much pressure pushing it out. I have 2 different kinds of auto/timer feeders and the spinner plates are adjustable on both. So i could use more of less with the same time setting. I thinking abt getting a directional one to use in some pine rows.

5 sec once a day 30 days
10 sec once a day 15 days

Whatever you do dont use a plastic barrel the dam rodents with chew right through it.

Make sure you get a feeder that is digitally programmable. That way you can dial it down to the exact number of seconds you want it to go off. I replaced my feeders with the Moultrie ez-fill tripods. I don't have to mess with ladders or winches. Right now I am running a corn-soybean-protein pellet mix in mine and running them 4 seconds in the morning and 2 seconds in the afternoon. That lasts me a long time
