I've got my eye on a Marlin 30-30 that was made in 77 (year I was born). The pics are nice but what should I look out for? Is there anything I should ask the seller? (assuming he's honest) Wood and blueing look nice in the pics. I'm just a little concerned with buying something online that I haven't put my hands on.
What's your experience with used online purchases?

Pitting, Rust, Corrosion, Cracked Stock/forearm, Cut stock, "Altering by BUDDA", etc.... What site are you looking on? You have to know what you are looking for, email seller questions if they aren't answered in the narrative, and ask for additional pictures/photos if something doesn't look right, if pics aren't good, if description is weak, etc...

That's him, he will tap a receiver, cut a stock, shorten a barrel, remove sights, install any and every after market POS option and do it with a hack saw, hand held drill, hammer, pliers and pipe wrench.
